Apex Systems is looking to hire a Ansible Automation Engineer for one of their reputable clients they support in Charlotte, NC. This position will be responsible for Linux OS builds and automating processes through Ansible. The position is a 12 month Contract position that is 100% Remote.
Pay rate: $70-80/hr.
Location: 100% Remote
Contract length: 12 month contract
Requirements:
- Ansible Automation Platform Experience including Controller and Hub
- Git experience
- Ansible Module development using Python and Powershell
- Ansible Playbook Development
- VMWare Power CLI experience
- Comfortable working in Linux and Windows command line environments
Job Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain automation scripts using Ansible and Python to streamline system administration tasks and improve operational efficiency.
- Develop automation for RHEL LEAPP upgrades, ensuring smooth transitions and minimal disruption to the platform.
- Troubleshoot complex technical issues related to the Linux platform, including performance tuning and security enhancements.
- Manage Linux OS configurations, specifically with a focus on Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL).
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design, implement, and maintain Linux OS platform.
- Stay current with industry trends and best practices in Linux, financial services, and cybersecurity.
- Provide engineering level support and contribute to incident resolution as needed.
- Document system configurations, procedures, and policies.
Job Qualification
- Proven experience as a Linux Platform Engineer, with a focus on Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) preferred.
- Expert level programming skills in Python and Ansible.
- Demonstrated expertise in Linux OS configuration management.
- Demonstrated ability to develop scalable solutions that have been deployed in large global enterprise environments.
- Experience with RHEL LEAPP upgrades is highly desirable.
- Experience with Data Visualization tools, such as Splunk and ELK, is a plus.
- Knowledge of financial services, including regulations and security standards, is preferred.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills for working in a team-oriented environment.
- Certifications such as RHCE or equivalent are a plus.
- Willingness to adapt to evolving technologies and embrace continuous learning.
